I'm sorry it's taken me this long to get back to you all and send out an update. It was a rather rushed last few days of packing, moving rooms, and goodbyes before i headed out to Kaleo. I arrived here on the 10th of September over flowing with excitement and a fair bit of nervousness. I've been here over a week now and as i look back on the past few days i can't believe everything that's happened so far.
Right off the start we were thrown into wild introduction games and orientations that took up a fair bit of time in those first couple days. The first night, we were lead to the field to play the game: "pudding horse." This lovely game consisted of nylon leggings filled with chocolate pudding and full head whipping momentum-with the nylons fit snugly over our faces. The aim was to try to get your own pudding on everyone else while avoiding being smacked from others. And as if this wasn't enough chaos already, our Kaleo leaders pranced around as fairies and threw flour on our puddin' plastered bodies.
In the picture above are my two wonderful roomies: Malayne and Jesse. I know it looks like we got the worst of it, but really you should see the other guys...
These ladies are amazing gals and i feel truly blessed to be living in Forest-side with them:) I will post more about them as the days go on though.
